The Case for Particular Skills:
Having just listened to the kidnapping of his daughter - and the description she gave as she struggled - Bryan (Liam Neeson) finds himself on the phone with her kidnapper.  He lets the man know that if Kim (Maggie Grace) is released, nothing further will happen, but if not, he would hunt him down and kill him.  With a scornful 'Good luck,' the kidnapper kicks the plot into gear as Bryan goes to rescue Kim.

Boil'em, Mash'em, Stick'em in a Stew vs. What? No!

Your Champion
Boil'em, Mash'em, Stick'em in a Stew
(Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers)

VS

Your Challenger
What? No!
(The Happening)

The Case for Boil'em, Mash'em, Stick'em in a Stew (1):
As Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Samwise (Sean Astin) rest at camp, Smeagol (Andy Serkis) returns with some freshly caught meat - and has a strong reaction to Sam's insistence on cooking it.  During their back and forth, Sam wishes for some potatoes to go with it - and birthed an Internet meme while wistfully listing ways to prepare them.

The Case for What? No!:
The Happening is a movie that just makes one ask questions - not about the film itself, but about the making of said movie.  Who thought this was a good idea?  Why did they cast it the way that they did?  And this scene leads to one of the greatest questions: was this really Mark Wahlberg's best take?

Stabbing Caesar vs. Finally

Your Champion
Stabbing Caesar
(Mean Girls)

VS

Your Challenger
Finally
(The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert)

The Case for Stabbing Caesar (1):
After slowly driving a wedge between Gretchen (Lacey Chabert) and Regina (Rachel McAdams), Gretchen reaches her breaking point after being pointedly told that 'fetch was never going to happen' - leading to an essay/breakdown where she enthusiastically calls for the stabbing of Caesar... followed by a bathroom confession to Cady (Lindsay Lohan) of one of Regina's darkest secrets.

The Case for Finally:
Having traveled across Australia, encountering people both friendly and... not, our three drag queens (played by Terrence Stamp, Hugo Weaving, and Guy Pearce) reach their destination, and we get a collection of their performances to 'Finally' by CeCe Peniston - though the movie isn't over, so we still end with a bit of drama.

Stabbing Caesar vs. Stranded at the Drive-In

Your Challenger
Stabbing Caesar
(Mean Girls)

VS

Your Challenger
Stranded at the Drive-In
(Grease)

The Case for Stabbing Caesar:
After slowly driving a wedge between Gretchen (Lacey Chabert) and Regina (Rachel McAdams), Gretchen reaches her breaking point after being pointedly told that 'fetch was never going to happen' - leading to an essay/breakdown where she enthusiastically calls for the stabbing of Caesar... followed by a bathroom confession to Cady (Lindsay Lohan) of one of Regina's darkest secrets.

The Case for Stranded at the Drive-In:
After getting far too aggressive with Sandy (Olivia Newton-John), Danny (John Travolta) finds himself alone, lamenting his situation in the ballad Sandy.  To drive the point home of how badly the night has gone, the song opens with the pitiable phrase 'Stranded at the drive-in' - a horrible fate for cool-guy Danny.

Thanksgiving, Addams Style vs. I Cain't Say No

Your Champion
Thanksgiving, Addams Style
(Addams Family Values)

VS

Your Challenger
I Cain't Say No
(Oklahoma!)

The Case for Thanksgiving, Addams Style (6):
Wednesday Addams (Christina Ricci) has had enough: Sent to camp against her will, forced to watch family friendly films for hours on end, and playing second fiddle to Amanda Buckman (Mercedes McNab) in the camp play.  Wednesday gets her revenge though, allying with the other camp rejects to take over the camp during the performance in this hilarious scene.

The Case for I Cain't Say No:
Sometimes, things just go wrong.  Take this song from the movie version of Oklahoma! - you have the Oscar nominated (for Crossfire and The Bad and the Beautiful) Gloria Grahame playing Ado Annie and original composers Rodgers and Hammerstein had unprecedented control of the film's production.  This should have been amazing.  Instead, the pair basically forced Grahame to stand in place - and you can see the actress visibly struggle to make the song interesting with minimal movement.  The performance now reads as a missed opportunity and a lesson in ignoring actorly instincts.

Thanksgiving, Addams Style vs. Map of Texas

The Case for Map of Texas:
Early in director Richard Linklater's film, he interviews a Carthage resident who helps set the tone for the film with his semi-accurate and hilarious division of the state of Texas - complete with a crudely drawn map to help viewers.
